Information Gathering
To begin, we meet with you to discuss your goals, risk tolerance, time horizon, income needs, and tax considerations. From here, we identify your overall investment objective and determine your proper asset mix (stocks, bonds, cash, etc.). We’ll help you establish a financial plan designed to support your needs both today and for years to come, at a risk level you’re comfortable with.
Security Selection
Our investment managers evaluate your existing holdings and recommend which to retain and which to reduce. We’ll also identify other securities and funds that complement your current portfolio. We’ll take a look at your entire financial picture–your 401(k), private investments, real estate holdings, stock options, life insurance policies, and more. Then, we present you with a plan for how to move forward.
Financial Planning
Your tax, estate and gifting strategies all intersect with your investment plan. It’s critical that they all work together. At Schenck, you’ll have access to tax planning, estate planning, and other business and financial expertise to make sure your investment decisions are integrated with your overall financial picture.
Ongoing Monitoring
Just as no two people are alike, no two individual portfolios will be the same. As your financial situation changes or as the market shifts, we stay in touch with you to provide input and recommendations that help you stay on track. Ongoing reporting of your accounts’ performance, and regular communication and meetings will help to make sure your portfolio continues to meet your changing needs.
