Steve has more than 20 years of technology-related business experience, including IT strategy, hardware/software assessment and implementation, metrics and dashboard creation, and information security and controls.

As the Chief Information Officer, Steve provides strategic direction and oversight for Schenck’s internal IT support group. He combines his technical expertise with an operational approach to achieve business improvement. 

Steve began his career by starting an IT consulting practice in a smaller Milwaukee public accounting firm. He then joined Deloitte Consulting in Milwaukee working with mid-market clients. After Deloitte, he joined Manpower Group in Milwaukee as their Director of Digital Technology and Services. Steve then joined Alta Resources in Neenah as their VP/CIO where he was instrumental in retooling their internal support group of nearly eighty people.

Key accomplishments

  • Implemented a contract management system for a large pharmaceutical company saving them $40 million annually
  • Saved a business process outsourcer $750,000 annually with contract renegotiations and implementing an open source system
  • Implemented a self-service business intelligence portal for a Chicago-based real estate investment trust (REIT) that was featured in their annual report
