Profile

Bob has over 25 years of experience in property tax compliance and consulting on all aspects of the property assessment cycle. His background also includes performing depreciation and classification studies for cost segregation purposes.

Prior to joining Schenck, Bob was with a Big Four firm, where he consulted with clients on real and personal property valuation issues. His experience includes valuing industrial and commercial properties throughout the United States, as well as in Central America, Europe and Asia. He works with clients and assessors to achieve resolution of issues both informally and has provided expert testimony when needed.

Bob is a frequent speaker at the local and national level for several professional organizations including the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. Bob works with clients and assessors starting at the informal level to achieve resolution of relevant issues, but has also appeared at Boards of Review to provide expert testimony when required.

Key Accomplishments

  • Achieved a 56% reduction on a real property project comprised of 44 individual parcels. This was accomplished through informal direct negotiations with the township assessor, without requiring the services of either an appraiser or an attorney.
  • All time highest reduction of 82% was achieved last year for a major food processor in downtown Milwaukee. Bob coordinated with the assessor and provided requested information.
