Each Council provides an intimate setting of 10–15 professionals who discuss real solutions to today's challenges. This group meets in October, January and April for four-hour interactive sessions. Each session generates in-depth interaction, learning and strong member connections.  

Who should join?

Not-for-Profit leaders and board members who are seeking a peer group that enables them to effectively share insight, so they can grow their organization.

Topics and timeline

October | Successfully Leading

Element #1: Building and sustaining leadership focus. This session kicks off the series, by spending time identifying, creating and building the focus areas and actions that Not-for-Profit leaders need to prioritize.

Element #2: Leading with confidence. This topic provides an overview and discussion of some essential skills that will be learned and leveraged throughout the rest of the series.

January | Employment and Accountability

Element #3: Employment and orientation. This session discusses the necessary steps to ensure proper documentation for new hires and explores the components of a quality orientation program.

Element #4: Documentation and termination. This topic covers the do's and don’ts of proper documentation for employee situations. This includes having the proper documents in place and emotional mindset to be ready, should a termination become necessary.

April | Engaging and Empowering

Element #5: Employee engagement and morale. Once your staff is in place, you need to engage and connect with them in a way that maintains morale. This session discusses tips and approaches to supporting and sustaining an engaging culture.

Element #6: Performance feedback. Providing performance feedback can be done in many ways. The “best way” for an organization is one that connects staff actions to overall mission and purpose. This topic provides resources on the components of a good performance feedback process.

Sessions will be held on October 19, 2018, January 15, 2019 and April 16, 2019 from 8:00 a.m. - 12 noon.


Annual fee: $500, covers all three sessions
