Scott has more than five years of experience providing accounting, auditing and tax services for a variety of businesses. He is responsible for the preparation and review of individual, corporate and partnership income tax returns as well as income tax estimates. Scott is also skilled in auditing employee benefit plans, including both defined contribution and defined employee benefit plans.

Scott enjoys creating relationships with his clients to help them meet their long-term goals. He regularly provides guidance to businesses and individuals with various accounting and tax issues, including financial reporting, business profitability and financial metrics analysis, and estate tax, retirement savings and business succession planning.

Scott joined Schenck in 2011 and is a member of the firm’s Agriculture & Food Processing team

Accomplishments

  • Provided assistance with tax projections for a family business succession plan, creating several scenarios for the client to review and consider to ensure both parties were well informed and pleased with the business sale outcome
  • Assisted in the review and revision of a large real estate client’s tax fixed asset schedules, resulting in a reduction in tax liability and significant savings of cash outflow
